​After graduating Master in Musicology he has been an active music manager around the globe for 35 years, touring with orchestras and choirs, organizing music festivals, TV and CD productions, and arranging concerts with world stars, both pop and classical, such as Boney M., Sir Elton John, Mstislav Rostropovich, Anne-Sophie Mutter, etc. He attended advanced training with the "Godfather of Music Management" Mr. Fritz Rau. ​

Thomas was a director of INTERKULTUR Germany for two decades during which he was the core organizer of numerous international choir festivals, and he served in the organizing committee of all eleven editions of the WORLD CHOIR GAMES being held from 2000 to 2021.

​Thomas was a choral singer himself for about 25 years and has won first prizes in international competitions in Gorizia 1987, Tolosa 1988 and Marktoberdorf 1989 as well as sung with the professional chorus of the Stuttgart State Opera in hundreds of performances.
