Mary Ann Ordinario is the founder and the director of ABC Educational Development Center in Kidapawan City. She is the author of 38 books. Among her best-known works are: War Makes Me Sad- used in therapy sessions for war-stricken children in Mindanao, My Muslim Friendtranslated into Nipponggo by the Christian Child Welfare Association in Japan.

Her books won major awards in different countries. Malong, The Magic Cloth- ASEAN Book Illustration Best in Fiction, International Children’s Content Rights Fair (ICCRF) in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The Crying Trees- Grand Prize Winner in the 2016 AFCC Samsung KidsTime Authors Award in Singapore with 2nd Placers – Why is a Pig’s Nose Flat, War Makes Me Sad, The Little Seed, and The Smelly Fruit. Most of her books brought pride to the Philippines. She also won numerous awards for the category Best in Short Story For Children in the Catholic Mass Media Awards. For 2021, The Pencil Who Would Not Write, won first prize in the International Indie Children's Book Cover Award in Los Angeles, USA Her books were also translated into Malay, Chinese and Bahasa.

Her goal in writing is to reach out and touch the hearts of children.
