Dr. Lalaine Yanilla Aquino

Dr. Lalaine F. Yanilla Aquino is a professor at the Department of English and Comparative Literature, College of Arts and Letters, University of the Philippines-Diliman, where she teaches Language and Cognition, Language and Gender, Children’s Literature, and Stylistics among other courses in both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her literary and academic writings are included in anthologies internationally published by Palgrave Macmillan, Routledge, Marshall Cavendish, Gale Cengage, and Multilingual Matters. She is a recipient of ONE UP Professorial Chair Award, the UP Centennial Professorial Chair Award, and the UP International Publication Award. Teacher Lalaine, as she is sometimes fondly called by both her colleagues and her students, is also the proud mother of four young men and the loving wife of her soulmate Jaime. She loves to write, read, watch Koreanovelas, and campaign for her chosen presidential candidate. She is proud to be a Filipina writer.
