Mark has been an intellectual property lawyer for over 11 years. He has worked for the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, the German Government, the Philippine Senate, the Asian Development Bank, and an Australian IP firm. He obtained his Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from the Queensland University of Technology and completed his Juris Doctor and Psychology degrees from Ateneo de Manila University. Today, he works as an IP and business consultant qualified to practice in the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand. In the evenings, he teaches intellectual property law and legal writing at the University of Cebu. He does research in all areas of intellectual property, especially copyright and creative industries.
